Refund Policy

We believe in being upfront. Cynchrony operates on a no-refund model for all credit purchases and plan activations. This page explains exactly what that means, when exceptions apply, and what to do if something goes wrong on our end.

How our credit system works

Cynchrony uses a credit-based model for individual users. Credits are purchased and consumed as you use platform features — mock interview sessions, assessments, and related tools.

Credit costs shown upfront

The credit cost of each feature is shown clearly before you begin a session.

Live balance visibility

Your available credit balance is visible in your account dashboard at all times.

Expiry terms

Credits are subject to expiry terms applicable to your plan — displayed at the time of purchase.

We recommend trying any available free sessions before purchasing credits so you know exactly what to expect from the platform.

Our no-refund stance

All purchases are final and non-refundable.

By completing a purchase on Cynchrony, you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

This applies to:

  • Credits purchased but not yet used
  • Credits partially used after purchase
  • Plan upgrades or top-ups
  • Purchases made during promotional or discounted periods
  • Credits that have expired per your plan's expiry terms

Why no refunds?

Credits give you immediate access to the platform. The moment a purchase is made, your credits are available and the session infrastructure is ready. Like most digital content and SaaS platforms, we are not able to recover that access once it has been granted.

When we will make it right

We do not issue monetary refunds, but we will always make things right if the problem is on our end.

Technical failure during a session

Credits restored to your account in full

If a session fails or is interrupted due to a verifiable fault on Cynchrony's platform — and not due to your internet connection, device, or browser — the credits consumed for that session will be restored.

Duplicate charge

Refund to original payment method

If you are charged twice for the same transaction due to a payment processing error, the duplicate charge will be refunded as soon as the error is confirmed. This is a billing error and will always be corrected.

Credits not delivered

Credits delivered or full refund

If you completed a purchase and your credits were never added to your account due to a system error, we will either deliver the missing credits immediately or process a full refund for that transaction.

Resolution for confirmed issues

We are not able to review issues reported more than 48 hours after the incident.

Institutional plans

Refund and cancellation terms for institutional plans — purchased by colleges, universities, coaching centres, or training institutes — are governed by the terms of your agreement with Cynchrony.

Individual students accessing Cynchrony through an institutional account should direct billing queries to their institution's placement cell or administrator.

Your consumer rights

This policy does not limit or override any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or any other applicable Indian law. If you have a genuine consumer grievance that we have not resolved, you may:
