Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Cynchrony — operated by Mirai Gen Private Limited. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
Who can use Cynchrony
Cynchrony is intended for:
- Students and freshers preparing for campus placements or job interviews
- Working professionals preparing for career transitions
- Colleges, universities, coaching centres, and training institutes (institutional accounts)
To create an individual account, you must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may only use the platform through an institutional account and with consent from a parent or guardian.
By using Cynchrony, you confirm that the information you provide during registration is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
Your account
Creating an account
You need to register to use most features of Cynchrony. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your password or account access with anyone else.
One account per person
Individual accounts are personal and non-transferable. Each person must have their own account. Sharing an account with another person is a violation of these terms.
Keeping your details accurate
You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date. If your email address or institution changes, update your profile.
Notifying us of unauthorised access
If you suspect someone has accessed your account without your permission, contact us immediately at contact@cynchrony.in. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorised access where you have not taken reasonable steps to protect your credentials.
What Cynchrony provides
Role-specific and round-specific interview simulations with AI-driven feedback on your responses. Available across HR, technical, and domain-specific rounds.
Practice and evaluation for aptitude, reasoning, verbal, and technical assessments linked to placement readiness.
Real-time assistance during practice sessions.
Tools for placement officers and trainers to schedule, manage, and track interview and assessment activity across student batches.
Tools for individual trainers and placement staff to conduct and evaluate sessions at the student level.
What you can and cannot do
You are allowed to
- Use the platform for your own interview and assessment preparation
- Access all features included in your plan or institutional access
- Download feedback reports generated for your sessions
- Contact us with questions, feedback, or support requests
You must not
- Misrepresent your performance — Do not use any tool, script, external assistance, or another person's help to complete assessments or interview sessions on your behalf.
- Share account access — Do not share your login credentials or allow another person to use your account.
- Scrape or extract content — Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract questions, feedback, or any content from the platform.
- Reverse engineer the platform — Do not attempt to decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of any part of Cynchrony.
- Reproduce platform content — Do not copy, republish, or distribute interview questions, assessment content, or feedback without our written permission.
- Abuse the platform — Do not use Cynchrony in any way that disrupts other users, overloads our systems, or circumvents security measures.
- Use for unlawful purposes — Do not use Cynchrony to violate any applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act 2000.
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or refund.
Credits and purchases
Cynchrony uses a credit-based system for individual users. Credits are consumed when you use platform features such as mock interviews and assessments.
Purchasing credits
Credits can be purchased through the platform. All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes. Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. We do not store your payment card information.
Credit expiry
Credits are subject to expiry terms as displayed at the time of purchase or within your plan. Please check your plan details for the applicable expiry period.
No transfer or resale
Credits are non-transferable. You may not sell, gift, or transfer credits to another user.
Institutional plans
For institutions, access and pricing are governed by a separate institutional agreement. These terms apply to the extent they are consistent with that agreement.
Taxes
GST is included in displayed prices where applicable. You are responsible for any applicable taxes beyond what is collected at point of sale.
Intellectual property
Our content
All content on Cynchrony — including the platform design, interview questions, assessment content, feedback models, software, logos, and text — is owned by or licensed to Mirai Gen Private Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
Your feedback about us
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about improving Cynchrony, you give us permission to use those ideas freely and without any obligation to compensate you. We appreciate every piece of feedback we receive.
Third-party content
Some content on the platform may reference or be inspired by publicly known interview formats, company names, or assessment patterns. These are used for educational and practice purposes only. Cynchrony is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of any company whose name appears in practice content.
Your content
When you use Cynchrony, you generate content — your interview responses, assessment answers, audio or video recordings, and session data. You retain ownership of this content.
By using the platform, you grant Mirai Gen Private Limited a limited, non-exclusive licence to use your session content for:
- Delivering feedback to you
- Improving platform performance and AI models (in anonymised or aggregated form only)
- Providing your institution with performance data if you are on an institutional plan
We will not use your personal session recordings or identifiable content for marketing or any purpose not described in our Privacy Policy without your explicit consent.
Availability and changes to the platform
We aim to keep Cynchrony available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may update, modify, or remove features from the platform at any time. Where a change materially affects your paid plan, we will give you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a credit or alternative.
We reserve the right to discontinue the platform with reasonable notice. In the event of discontinuation, we will make reasonable efforts to give users sufficient time to export their data.
Limitation of liability
No guarantee of outcomes
Cynchrony provides practice tools. We make no warranty that use of the platform will result in a job offer, successful interview, or placement. Results depend entirely on your effort and the decisions of third parties.
Platform provided as-is
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cynchrony is provided without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted service.
Liability cap
Mirai Gen Private Limited's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. For free plan users, our liability is limited to INR 1,000.
No indirect damages
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of income, or loss of opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or the Information Technology Act 2000.
Termination
By you
You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us at contact@cynchrony.in. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of any unused credits or fees, except where our Refund Policy applies.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate any provision of these terms — including misuse of assessments, sharing account credentials, or scraping platform content — or if your use creates legal risk or reputational harm to Cynchrony, or if we are required to do so by law or court order. For serious violations we may terminate without prior notice.
After termination
Your access to the platform will end immediately. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law — remain in effect.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Before initiating any legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at contact@cynchrony.in. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or any other applicable Indian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves or as law requires. When we make a material change, we will notify you by email to your registered address and display a notice on the platform.
